Cal. 308 Win. S# 89061. Bbl. 20" w/ flash hider. In 1975 FN introduced the Mauser 98 based Model 30-11 sniper rifle in response to worldwide terrorist attacks. Customers for the Model 30-11 included Argentina, Belgium, Kuwait, Luxembourg & the Netherlands. It is reported that 51 of these rifles were imported into the US from Chile but no definite proof has surfaced to prove the Chilean origin. Consignor states this rifle was imported in 1996 from El Salvador in a group of 3, 2 of which were reduced to parts kits. This rifle is equipped w/ a correct receiver mounted FN marked 4x24 scope. Scope has good optics & post reticle. Rubber eyepiece covers are present. STAGNAG scope mount is numbered "2995". Right rear of receiver & front receiver ring each have two additional screw holes for sight mounting. Front of bbl. has mounting block for diopter sight. Bolt is numbered "8512" on underside of handle. Right rear of bbl. marked "FNA 2901". Left rear of bbl. has Belgian proof. This particular rifle has an internal 5 round mag. Black enamel finish. Walnut stock w/ adjustable cheekpiece & UIT mounting rail. Hand stop present in rail. Left side of butt & rail have sling hardware. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: spare buttpad & wooden block numbered "505". CONDITION: stock shows a few abrasions, scattered dings, scratches & handling marks. Metal retains 60% arsenal black enamel finish w/ scattered flaking, scratches & edge wear. Good bore w/ strong rifling that will likely clean up better.
