MODEL 1934 HOLSTER. 1 of only 500 leather M/34 holsters mfg. in Oulu, Finland by Veljekset Astrom Nahkatehdas for the Finnish Civil Guard. Brown leather construction, with steel closure flap stud. Closure flap is marked with a deer above "OULU" within a circle, followed by a Finnish Civil Guard "Sk.Y", below a Finnish army boxed "SA" (indicating subsequent Finnish army issue). This exact holster is pictured in figure 23-3 of "Holsters and Shoulder-Stocks of the World" by Anthony Vanderlinden. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting some areas of wear and some scattered marks from handling and storage, with scattered areas of age related cracking and crazing (primarily present on the closure flap and mag. pouch). A very nice example of an extremely scarce and documented Finnish mfg. Beretta 1934 holster. PROVENANCE: the Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (02-24303/MLW). $1,000-1,500.
