SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HARD CASE. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 090309. Bbl. 4". 1 of only 465 Model P9 single action semi-automatic pistols mfg. by Heckler & Koch from 1969-1973, prior to the introduction of the double action Model P9S. This example, mfg. in 1972, is marked with the "HK" logo, followed by the model designation, HK's mfg. and patent information, as well as a German Eagle/N commercial nitro proof and the S# on the left side of the slide, with "excl. for SACO Arl. Va. 22 209" marked on the right. Right side of the frame is marked with an Eagle/N proof, followed by the date code "72", and an Ulm Proof House antler. Slide features a dual-tone polished and matte blue finish, with the bbl. and bolt assembly being polished in-the-white. Black polymer frame features black checkered panels, with a thumbrest on the left, and finger grooves on the front strap. Dovetailed black polymer front sight with dovetailed black polymer square notch rear sight. Roller delayed blowback action, with slide catch / cocking lever on left side of frame. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 blued 9-rd. with transverse indicator windows. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unnumbered HK black polymer hard case. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, showing a few spots of very light edge wear, a few light superficial handling marks, as well as a few spots of very light to light freckling. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining well defined polygonal rifling throughout. Polymer frame shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, but is otherwise very good overall. An exceptionally scarce and high condition example of a Heckler & Koch P9 pistol. (25-3926/MLW). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
