SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 26333. Bbl. 4 1/8". Model 1922 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Fabrique Nationale under contract for the Netherlands. Standard Belgian markings are on the left side of the slide, with a large Dutch Crown/W marked over the top, forward of the ejection port. Proof on the right side of the trigger guard web has been defaced. Rear of the frame is marked with a Dutch Crown/J proof. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, save for the bbl., which is in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "FN" monogram checkered hard rubber grips. All numbers are matching, with the bbl. and slide extension having been renumbered to match. Bbl. is a later .32 ACP German occupation-proofed replacement. MAGS: 1 9-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Dutch brown leather holster marked "ARNOLD", followed by what appears to be a service number on the interior of the closure flap. Holster contains one non-matching cleaning rod. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few spots of mild wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, with some spots of light pitting present overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light pitting while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips are good, exhibiting smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some areas of age-related cracking overall, with brass fittings exhibiting a pleasing mellow patina. (24-1494/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
