PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 25 Auto. S# 536736. Bbl. 2 1/8". Model 1905 (alternatively known as the Model 1906) semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale. Left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES de GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE" above "BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE" and a triad of Belgian commercial proofs (proofs repeated on left side of frame and bbl.). Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "FN" monogram checkered horn grips. Slide features a concave sight groove, with an integral blade front sight and diminutive U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), and bbl. (underside). MAGS: x1 blued steel 6-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked period brown leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, some light superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Bbl. shows scattered spots of age related discoloration. Bore is relatively bright, exhibiting consistent mild to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips are very good overall. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting scattered patches and areas of light to mild age related cracking and crazing. (26/250/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
