HIGH POWER "EL CAPITAN" SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOLS WITH MATCHING FACTORY SOFT CASES. 1) BELGIAN BROWNING "EL CAPITAN" HIGH POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal.9mm Luger. S# 73C72880. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power "El Capitan" semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale and imported by Browning Arms Company in 1973. The left side of the slide is marked with Browning's importer information above "MADE IN BELGIUM". Right side of the frame and 2-piece bbl. exhibit a single Belgian commercial proof. Metal components exhibit a polished blue finish, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips. Dovetailed blade front sight, with V-notch adj. rear sight, graduated 50-500. New style "spur" hammer, with slotted backstrap on frame. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame (front grip strap), as well as the slide and bbl. (on right). MAGS: 1 13-rd. mag., with phosphate finished body and blued button type follower. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather Browning soft case, with "M/S" above the full S# "73C72879" handwritten on the exterior tag. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original blue finish overall, save for a few light superficial handling marks overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting a thick layer of grease overall, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent overall. Soft case is excellent.
