S# 509REL. Bbl. 7 1/2". Model 1851 Navy 1971 Robert E. Lee commemorative single action percussion revolver mfg. by Colt. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with Colt's mfg. information, with "ROBERT E. LEE COMMEMORATIVE - NINTEEN SEVENTY ONE" marked on the left flat. Left side of frame is marked "COLTS/ PATENT". Cyl. is engraved with Colt's naval engagement scene. Frame, hammer, and loading lever exhibit a case color hardened finish, with the cyl., bbl., and trigger exhibiting a blue finish overall. Trigger guard and rear grip strap exhibit a silver plated finish, and are mounted with a 1-piece smooth wood grip. Brass cone front sight, with hammer notched rear sight. All numbers are matching and include the frame, bbl., bbl. wedge, loading lever, cyl., trigger guard, as well as the rear grip strap. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Colt factory commemorative wood display case containing a powder flask, disassembly tool, bullet mold, and cap tin. CONDITION: extremely fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finishes overall, save for a small superficial handling mark on the right side of the bbl. (next to the bbl. wedge on the right side), and on the wedge itself. Frame, hammer, and loading lever retain vibrant case coloring overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent overall, with what appears to be some light wear (possibly from the interior of the case) present on the bottom right of the grip. 2) COLT MODEL 1851 NAVY ULYSSES S. GRANT 1971 COMMEMORATIVE SINGLE ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 36. S# 374USG. Bbl. 7 1/2". Model 1851 Navy 1971 Ulysses S. Grant commemorative single action percussion revolver mfg. by Colt. The top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with Colt's mfg. information, with "ULYSSES S. GRANT COMMEMORATIVE - NINETEEN SEVENTY ONE" marked on the left flat. Left side of frame is marked "COLTS/ PATENT". Cyl. is engraved with Colt's naval engagement scene.
