SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 32 ACP. S# 454169. Bbl. 3 3/4". Mfg. in 1925. Left side of slide is marked with Colt's mfg. and patent information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo, with the cal. designation marked on the right. Right side of the frame is factory inscribed "Property of State of Washington". Metal components exhibit a lustrous blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered chocolate brown hard rubber grips. Half-moon blade front sight with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Slide appears to be renumbered to match the frame. Bbl. is a contemporary replacement. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Colt factory letter stating: "Serial Number: 454169/ Caliber: .32/c/ Barrel Length: 3 3/4"/ Finish: Blue/ Type of Stocks: Not Listed/ Factory Engraved: "Property of State of Washington"/ Special Notation: Selected and Targeted/ Shipped to: Schwabacher Hardware Company/ Address: Seattle, Washington/ Date of Shipment: April 11, 1924/ Colt Factory Order: # 8454 / 4/ Number of Same Type Guns in Shipment: 4". MAGS: 1 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, with scattered superficial handling marks overall. Left side of frame exhibits a large patch of light to mild pitting, with scattered spots of light surface oxidation present overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some smoothing and some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (25-5177/MLW). CURIO. $1,500-2,000.
