Cal. 303 Brit. S# AC5282. Bbl. 20 1/2" with flash hider. Blade front sight with protective ears. Ladder aperture rear sight properly graduated to 800 yds. Left rear of receiver has what appears to be an aftermarket scope base. Receiver & bolt have proper No. 5 lightning cuts. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt & mag. No visible stock number. Bbl. has British sale proofs. Right side of receiver has pre-68 "ENGLAND" import marking. Left side of receiver has No. 5 MKI (F) marking & serial number. Date is obscured by scope base. Suncorite finish. Hardwood stock set with rubber buttpad, bottom mounted front & left mounted rear sling swivels. US M1907 style sling present in poor-fair condition. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: copy of Ian Skennerton's book "The Lee-Enfield Story". CONDITION: sanded stock has a light appearance with an armorer type 2 1/2" patch repair on left side of forend, a thin crack on handguard, scattered dings & handling marks. Metal retains 90-93% Suncorite finish with scattered flaking & light oxidation on the exposed edges. Action is sluggish but functional when hand cycled. Good bright bore with strong rifling but some light frosting. (25-2026/MJC). CURIO. $500-900.
