RIFLE. Cal. 7.62x51. S# 22331. Bbl. 25", including the flash suppressor. There rifles were produced by Federal Ordnance between 1984 and late 1991. Two types of M14 rifles were made, with one using USG1, and the other with Chinese parts. The receivers were produced in the U.S. This example is marked on the rear of the receiver "U.S. RIFLE 7.62MM M14SA FED. ORD. INC. SO. EL MONTE, CA." Rifle has the T105E1 aperture rear sight, using U.S. parts. Blade front sight with protective ears. Flash suppressor assembly carries the bayonet lug. Unmarked bolt and operating rod. Trigger housing is marked only with a faint "1474"; trigger housing assembly uses unmarked parts. USGI walnut stock with a cutout on the right side; stock has a boxed Defense acceptance eagle on the left side. Brown fiberglass handguard. Trap butt plate has hinged shoulder rest. MAGS: three 20-rd. GI; two are marked "O," and one is marked "MT CO." UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: cleaning kit, combination tool, and plastic oiler in the butt. Rear sight parts and spare unmarked bolt assembly. Green canvas Model 1956 mag. pouch, with Alice clips and grenade straps. CONDITION: buttstock has moderate wear, staining, and handling marks throughout. Metal retains 75% of its original finish, with thinning and wear. Clip guide is not present in the dovetail. Very good, shiny bore. (24-6621/RW). MODERN. $1,500-2,000.
