Overall length: 36". Blade length: 30". Single wide fullered blade decorated over half its length w/ bluing & gold highlighted, as well as white, etching. Etching includes a spray of arms, Federal shield, an eagle w/ ribbon in its beak that reads, "E PLURIBUS UNUM". Gilded brass hilt featuring a guard w/ spade languets & an unadorned knuckle bow terminating in a very well articulated eagle head pommel. Certifiably antique ivory grip w/ cut ribs. Gilded brass mounted leather scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a light gray patina w/ traces of original factory polish & some areas of scattered oxidation. Blue & gilt decoration is about 80% intact. Hilt shows areas of original gilding. Grip has 2 lg. age cracks but no noticeable losses. Scabbard mounts have much of the original gilding intact. Leather remains strong but is lightly flexed.
