SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# K5230. Bbl. 4 5/8". wz.35 (German designation P.35(P). ) semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Steyr in 1945. The left side of the slide is marked "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Nr.15567.", followed by an eagle firing proof and Steyr Eagle/WaA623 proof. Left side of the forward triggerguard web is marked with an indiscernible Eagle/WaA623 proof. Frame, grip safety, trigger, and slide exhibit a phosphate finish, with the bbl. being polished in-the-white, and with various small parts exhibiting a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Slide features a grooved rib, with a fixed blade front sight, and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, grip safety (left side), slide (underside), as well as the bbl. (last 3-digits on left side of lug). MAGS: 2 8-rd. mags. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster mfg. by Steyr marked with a partially discernible boxed "bnz" above a boxed "P.35" in white ink. Year of mfg. is illegible. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original arsenal phosphate finish, exhibiting some light to mild wear and thinning, some superficial handling marks, as well as a few small spots of light to mild surface oxidation. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good, showing a few superficial handling marks, with the left panel exhibiting a crack that stems from the upper screw slot. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear, with areas of light to mild age related cracking and crazing present overall. A very nice example of a 1945 production wz.35 P.35(p) pistol. (24-6793/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-2,000.
