SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH MATCHING FACTORY BOX. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 329875. Bbl. 3 13/16". Model PP semi-automatic pistol mfg. in West Germany by Walther in 1963. Left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Right side of frame (on chamber area) is stamped with the 2-digit year of mfg. "63", followed by an Ulm Proof House antler and an Eagle/N commercial nitro proof (Eagle/N proof repeated on right side of frame beneath S# and on left side of slide). Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the chamber area of the frame, which is polished in-the-white. Slide has possibly been refinished at one time. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic Walther banner grips. Slide features a solid raised grooved matte rib, with an integral blade front sight and dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Slide matches the receiver via the full S# in electro-pencil, which is faintly visible on the interior, parallel to the ejection port. MAGS: 2 blued 8-rd., 1 mag. with black synthetic grip extension. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original matching factory leatherette cardboard box containing spare mag. and cleaning rod. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their blue finish, showing few small and light superficial handling marks overall. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, to include the safety / decocking lever. Grips show some very light wear to the tips of the diamonds. Box shows light exterior wear, with the internal sectional panel having torn on either side. (25-5129/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
