WITH ORIGINAL SHEATH. 13.5” overall, 9” spear point with 2.5” unsharpened clip, 2.75” sculptured “S” crossguard, full tang, striped maple grip slabs iron pinned with German silver washers, brown leather sheath pinned at edges, belt loop pinned with brass reinforcement strips. This elegant knife was made by a true craftsman in every aspect, blade, handle, and sheath. Knife has survived in beautiful “as found” condition. CONDITION: very good to fine overall, blade is gray/bright with original sharpening marks still very sharp edge, several small nicks in blade, grip retains much of old varnish finish, brown leather sheath is also fine, bending and scuffing at tip. Partial ink text on sheath possibly shows leather was repurposed. PROVENANCE: Pictured on page 136 “Accoutrements V” by Jim Johnston. (02-18177/JS). $2,500-3,500.
