You will not find a much better example of this fine survivor of the classic War of 1812 British Sea service pistol w/ 12" bbl. & 8" belt hook. This example conforms to others w/ crown over “GR” cypher forward of cock w/ broad arrow proof, “TOWER” stamped vertically at tail. Inspection marks are crisp & well defined including broad arrow proof & date “1805” stamped in stock rear of lock. CONDITION: very good to fine overall, all original & matching. Iron gray & smooth overall. Brass has light mustard patina. Markings are crisp including inspectors & storekeepers marks in stock, last number & date probably a “5” making this last year for this model, 1805. Mechanically fine w/ shiny clear bore.
