Cal. 36. S# 2431. Bbl. 4 1/2" round w/ New York address & cone type sight. Five shot fluted rebated cyl. Blue & case colored finish w/ silver finished grip straps. 1 piece walnut grip. Bbl., frame, grip straps & wedge have matching numbers. Mfg. 1861 during the American Civil War. Mahogany casing has faded red baize lining and double eagle flask, Colt Patent 2-cavity mold marked "3GP", cap tin, combination nipple wrench/screwdriver, and functioning key. CONDITION: very fine overall, all matching. Bbl. & cyl. retain over 70% blue showing areas of wear & flaking. Frame & fittings retain over 50% light case colors. Grip straps have 95% silver finish showing a pleasing dark tarnish. Grips retain almost all their factory varnish, light edge wear. Case is very good overall with matching condition components.
