Cal. 36. S# 1463. Bbl. 7 1/2" octagon w/ London address & brass cone sight. Round six shot cyl. w/ naval engagement scene roll engraving. Cyl. & left side of bbl. have British proofs. Blue & case colored finish w/ silver finished brass backstrap & small round trigger guard. 1 Piece walnut grip. Bbl., frame, grip straps, cyl. & loading lever have matching numbers. Wedge is unnumbered. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period style trade case. Inside lid has label marked "THEOPHILUS MURCOTT./Gun Maker/68. Haymarket/London.S.W.". Green baize lined interior showing light wear & small tears. Case contains Colt's Patent Dixson navy flask powder flask, 2 cavity Colt's Patent bullet mold, oil bottle, nipple wrench, slotted tip iron cleaning rod & cap tin. CONDITION: very fine. Bbl. & cyl. retain over 60% blue blending w/ areas of flaking. Cyl. has very good scene. Frame has lightly visible case colors. Grip straps retain over 60% silver and most of their original varnish.
