BY ARMI FAMARS (ABBIATICO & SALVINELLI) WITH SCROLL ENGRAVING BY R. VASCO. Cal. 12 Ga. 2 3/4". S# 31887 (1975). The 27 9/16" dovetailed browned bbls. are gold inlaid ARMI FAMARS on slightly raised narrow game rib. Coin finished sidelock action has self cocking serpentine hammers with scrolled checkered spurs installed on tumbler ends. Action is very nicely filed with unique "Disco Volante" fences. Action features nonautomatic safety and double triggers (front articulated). Lockplates are unengraved except for maker's name in gold, and are outlined with inlaid gold wire borders. An imperial crown is gold inlaid on top lever, and "Famars" is on bottom of action. Single beaded trigger guard is engraved with matching scroll and serial number is in gold on tang. Engraver's signature "R. Vasco Inc." is on trigger plate. Crotch figured and well streaked European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 5/8" over checkered wood butt. Very closely spaced borderless checkering is at grip. Stock also features well shaped drop points and dished cheek rest area. Matching splinter ejector forend with Anson release has gold "Famars" crest inlaid on uncheckered central diamond.
