Cal. .85. NSN. 34" overall, 20" brass barrel flaring to about 1.5", maker marked "STANTON LONDON" on top with commercial London proofs on breech, and "IS" for Jonathan Stanton who worked 1748-1765, he died in 1766. Lock is nicely beveled, engraved "STANTON", beveled serpentine cock, bridled frizzen, and integral curved steel pan. Brass furniture is sparsely engraved en suite. Full length stock has raised moldings. CONDITION: very good overall, brass has toned patina, steel is gray, stock is sound with old screw repair at toe, 3" inset repair to stock at muzzle on left side.
