REVOLVER. Cal. 31. S# 247435. Bbl. 6" oct.. 1 Line New York address. 6 Shot cyl. w/ rolled stagecoach holdup scene. Made at the height of the war in 1863. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: scarce earlier beveled Colt casing w/ blue velvet & baize lining compartmentalized for revolver, cap tin, mold & flask. CONDITION: fine overall. All matching. Revolver retains about 10% bright blue finish on bbl. & cyl. w/ balance plum patina. Frame retains about 30% muted case colors. Cyl. has full cyl. scene w/ 3 functioning safety pins. Screws retain much of their original fire blue. Grip frame retains traces of original silver. Grips retain virtually all their original factory varnish. Mechanically crisp w/ crisp rifled bore. Casing is sound & complete. Partitions have soiling & scuffs where pistol accessories rub. Cap tin is good w/ flaked “ELY BROS” label. 2 Cavity “COLT’S PATENT” mold is very good w/ traces of blue.
