FRONTIER SCOUT REVOLVER WITH DISPLAY CASE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 0172NJ. Bbl. 4 3/4". New Jersey Tercentenary commemorative Frontier Scout single action revolver mfg. by Colt. The left side of the bbl. is marked "1664 - NEW JERSEY TERCENTENARY - 1964", with "COLT SINGLE ACTION FRONTIER SCOUT 22 L.R." marked on the right. Left side of frame exhibits the encircled Rampant Colt standing atop a globe logo. Aluminum frame exhibits a seemingly nickel plated aluminum finish, with the steel hammer, bbl., and ejector rod housing exhibiting a nickel plated finish. Cyl., cyl. base pin, ejector rod, frame screws, and trigger exhibit a blued finish. Black anodized aluminum trigger guard and rear grip strap are mounted with Colt silver medallion laminated wood grips. Blade front sight with frame notched rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Colt factory New Jersey Tercentenary wood display case. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finishes overall, exhibiting areas of grease that is predominately on the cyl. Mirror bore, exhibiting a layer of grease and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent. Case exhibits some mild marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. An extremely fine example of a Colt New Jersey Tercentenary commemorative Frontier Scout revolver. (23-5629/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
