MATCHING FACTORY BOX & FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 357 Mag. S# E36470. Bbl. 6". Python double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1971. The left side of the bbl. is marked "PYTHON .357/ * 357 MAGNUM CTG. *", with Colt's single line address marked across the right. Left side of frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Metal components exhibit a lustrous high polished Royal Blue finish, with a matte blue finish present over the top of the bbl. and top strap of the frame. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt gold medallion checkered wood grips. V/R bbl. with a serrated blade front sight and adj. square notch rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory box, as well as a Colt factory letter indicating that this example was 1 of 15 Python revolvers shipped to American Arms Company in Wareham, MA on January 19th of 1972. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory Royal Blue finish, exhibiting some light superficial handling marks (predominately on the bbl.), as well as an extremely light dragline on the cyl. Mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Grips exhibit a few minor nicks and marks, but are otherwise excellent overall. Box shows some mild exterior wear and some minor losses to its wood grain exterior from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
