PISTOL. Cal. 5mm Flobert Rimfire (0.212 groove diameter). NSN. Bbl. 9" oct., not maker marked & is fitted w/ U-notch rear & blade front sights. An 1891 crowned "V" proof is at breach end. This is a German proof applied to guns that were in existence before & exempt from, new proof laws. Flobert breach is scroll engraved. Pistol is stocked in European walnut & has flute carved flared grip w/ heavy steel cap. Trigger guard w/ finger spur has simple flame finial. Side panels of stock & area around forend are deep relief carved in scrolling acanthus. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: housed in brown diamond patterned Morocco leather covered case w/ pressed in black & gold outlines. Central dbl. rectangular area is embossed "EV" in gold. Case is French fitted & lined in burgundy colored suede. CONDITION: very fine. Bbl. retaining nearly all of its original blue. Other iron parts w/ most of their original French gray muted color. Stock retains over 90% original French polish. Bore looks to be fine, but is quite dirty. Mechanically good except for missing firing pin. Case has a number of scuffs on exterior. Interior good.
