WITH MANY CUSTOM ORDERED HIGH GRADE OPTIONS. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 73255 (1902). Bbls. 28" of exceptionally fine chain Damascus, undoubtedly an extra cost option, are fitted with matted concave rib. Bbl. flats are stamped with serial number. Case hardened “Lewis” style action with square crossbolt top fastener features non automatic safety and checkered gold plated double triggers. Water table is marked for grade 2 and with serial number and gauge. Engraving is of grade 2 style with game birds on sides and bottom within line and geometric borders. A sandpiper(?) is on left side and a duck is on right. A grouse is in circular vignette on bottom. “Ithaca Gun Co” is engraved on each side. Capped pistolgrip buttstock of very attractive stump figured and lightly marbled European walnut measures 13 1/8" over original “Ithaca Gun Co” checkered hard rubber buttplate. Checkering pattern is very fancy as is normally found on grade 5 guns with fleur-di-lis and ribbons through crenellated pattern. Removal of trigger guard reveals correct serial number stamped in inletting. Matching splinter forend with inlet ebony tip has J-spring release. Checkering pattern is also of grade 5 style. Stocks retain over 80% of their original hand rubbed oil finish with a good scattering of light marks. Checkering very lightly worn. Bores are bright and shiny with a minor small dent in left bbl. about 18" behind muzzle. Action is tight. Mechanically good. Splinter has been resoldered.
