Cal. 22. S# 20057. Bbl. 2 1/4". Made at the same time of introduction of Colt Single Action Army revolvers 1874-1877, these sm. caliber 7 shot revolvers were very popular. Of the 50,000 made, few were deluxe such as this factory engraved nickel plated & mother of pearl gripped example. Standard configuration w/ 2 1/4" rnd. bbl. w/ flat sides, 2 line Hartford address & etched panel on left side “COLT NEW 22”. CONDITION: fine to excellent overall, retaining virtually all original dull nickel w/ freckling on cyl. flutes, well fit 2 piece mother of pearl grips w/ tiny chip on inside right toe. Hammer & trigger retain much of their original blue finish. Mechanically fine w/ crisp bright bore. (01-20108/JS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
