PISTOL. Cal. 9x19mm. S# K6187. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis.35 (German designation P.35(P)) semi-automatic pistol, mfg. in Poland at the Radom arsenal while under German occupation during WWII. The left side of the slide is marked "F.B. RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr1555", followed by an eagle firing proof and Eagle/623 acceptance proof, above an Eagle/WaA77 acceptance proof. Left side of frame is stamped with an Eagle/WaA77 proof, with an Eagle/77 proof stamped on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown plastic grips, with the left grip marked "FB" and the right marked "VIS" within inverted triangles. Matte rib with blade front sight and V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), as well as the bbl. (on lug). MAGS: one 8-rd. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some light edge wear and few superficial handling marks overall. Grip straps show wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as some very light surface-level pitting. Near mirror bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as a few scattered nicks and marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: the estate collection of Charles Wagner. (24-4638/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
