SINGLE TRIGGER GAME GUN WITH A & F LOM CASE.
Cal. 28 Ga. 2 3/4". S# 4465 (1963). The 26" dovetailed barrels with slightly raised matted rib are engraved with steel type and retailer "ABERCROMBIE & FITCH" on tops. Barrel flats are stamped with maker's name and address, S# and 1963 Italian nitro proofs. Bottoms of barrels are stamped with two and three stars (choke). Case hardened double ogee backed boxlock action features automatic safety and single non-selective trigger. Action is engraved with near full coverage, well cut varying size open shaded scroll. Maker's name and address are in arched device on trigger plate. Blued top lever and trigger guard are engraved with matching scroll, S# is on trigger guard tang. Lightly streaked and figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 3/4" over checkered wood butt. Point pattern checkering is on semi-diamond hand and a vacant gold oval is on toeline. Matching long splinter ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .567. R .567. Restriction: L .037 (extra full). R .017 (mod). Wall thickness: L .022. R .028. CONDITION: very fine, showing signs of little use with only a few handling and assembly marks on all surfaces. There is slight silvering on high points on action. Bores are bright and shiny.
