Cal. 6.5 x 54 MS. S# 11256. The 18" bbl. is fitted with all factory sights. Serial number is on right rear. Usual Mannlicher action with rotary magazine has spoon bolt and double set triggers. Action has been fitted with Hensoldt 2 3/4X rail scope with 3 post reticle in claw rings. Bases are dovetailed through receiver ring and screwed to left side of bridge. Full length stock of attractively figured European walnut measures 14" over steel buttplate with trap, which contains orig. cleaning rod & equipment. Stock features steel grip cap, right hand cheekpiece, sling loops and point pattern checkering. CONDITION: very fine. Metal parts retaining approx. 90% original blue showing high edge wear on floorplate and grip cap. Stock retains nearly all of its original finish with some scattered marks, especially on right side near rear of action. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is smooth. Scope is very fine with some rubs and marks, optically clear. PROVENANCE: By descent, from the Albert Boardman II of Rye, N.Y. (22-1060/MGM). CURIO. $1,500-2,500.
