USED BY CAPTAIN JOHN TICE, BRITISH ARMY WITH PROVENANCE. Cal. 65. NSN. 9 3/4" Overall. Bbls. 4 3/4" oct. twist micro groove rifled w/ Liege proofs on left side of breeches & unlined touch holes. Locks signed "Berdeux" under pans. Trigger guards w/ engraved bows, stylized urn finials w/ engraved thimbles en suite. Walnut stocks have textured checkered grips w/ silver pins w/ oval engraved butt caps. Carved ramrods have cupped tips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: several letters, the earliest written in 1925 telling a bit of history of writer’s great grandfather Capt. John Tice & his involvement of battle of Waterloo. CONDITION: very good to fine overall, appears all original & complete. Iron has smooth gray patina, silver pins dark silver patina, wood retains much of their original varnish.
