SHEATH & KNIFE. 10" x 3", sinew sewn, full coverage one side & 20% on other with navy blue, green, black, white-heart red, greasy yellow, & white beads on turquoise blue ground. Row of tinkle cone embellishments on front side. 12" beaded drop with tinkle cones. Pewter bolster hunter/skinner knife 11.5" overall, 7" unmarked blade. This knife & sheath from the Floyd Ritter collection is pictured on page 3 of John Baldwin's 1997 text "EARLY KNIVES & BEADED SCABBARDS OF THE AMERICAN FRONTIER".
