BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 264 Win. Mag. S# 556068. Bbl. 21 5/8". Model 70 Featherweight bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1962. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the Winchester trademark logo, followed by the model and cal. designations. Receiver and bolt handle exhibit a matte blue finish, with the bbl., bolt shroud, and trigger guard exhibiting a standard blue finish. Bolt body is polished in-the-white, with the aluminum floorplate exhibiting a blue anodized finish. 1-piece checkered wood Monte Carlo pistol grip buttstock, with Winchester grooved red rubber recoil pad. Stock has possibly been lightly sanded and revarnished. Ramped, hooded, and aluminum beaded blade front sight, with flip-up U-notch rear sight. Bolt matches the receiver via the full S#, which is electro-penciled on the underside of the bolt body. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory finishes, exhibiting few light superficial handling marks overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Stock shows a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains very good to excellent overall. A fine example of a 1962 vintage Winchester Model 70 Featherweight bolt action rifle. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1945/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
