RIFLE WITH MATCHING FACTORY BOX. Cal. 243 Win. S# 132-66687. Bbl. 20". No. 1 RSI single-shot breechloading rifle mfg. by Ruger in 1984. Top of the bbl. is marked with Ruger's mfg. information, with the cal. designation marked on the left at the breech. Top of the receiver is marked "RUGER" within a banner above "No.1". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Finely figured checkered wood buttstock with blued steel Ruger medallion grip cap and Ruger-branded red rubber recoil pad, with an international-style checkered wood forend. Ramped brass beaded blade front sight with flip-up U-notch rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory box. CONDITION: extremely fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory blue finish overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture is excellent. Box shows age-related discoloration and staining, with some exterior wear as well as a few small holes and tears, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. An extremely fine 1984 production Ruger No. 1 RSI rifle that one would find difficult to upgrade from. (23-6738/MLW). MODERN. $1,000-1,500.
