WITH SCOPE EX. NORM FLAYDERMAN COLLECTION. Cal. 300 H&H Magnum. S# T10235 (1932? listed dates for "T" prefix stop at 10,100 in 1929). This dynamic little rifle has 25" shoe lump barrels fitted with matted quarter rib and broad front sight base. Rib holds one standing two folding leaf express sights, marked for 100, 300 & 500 yards. Rib is also fitted with what appear to be original scope bases. Mid rib is engraved "Westley Richards & Co London". Tops of barrels over chambers are engraved "300 Holland & Holland" on right and "MAGNUM 180 GRN. BULLET" on left. Barrel flats are stamped with Birmingham nitro proofs for 30 grains of cordite and 120 grain bullet along with London re-proofs for 300 Magnum 2.85" at 18.5 tons. Bottoms of barrels are stamped with S#'s and "HL". A sling loop is screwed to bottom rib. Case hardened boxlock action with automatic safety is fitted with Westley Richards patent sliding top fastener that engages long dolls head rib extension, bushed strikers and double triggers with stippled finger blades. Action is engraved with about 70% coverage well cut shaded scroll. Each side is also engraved "Westley Richards & Co.". Blued floorplate, top lever and trigger guard are engraved to match. S# is on trigger guard tang that extends to horn grip cap. Stock of nicely fiddle figured and well streaked European walnut measures 14-3/4" over squished Silver type pad. Stock features drop points, point pattern grip checkering, sling loop and silver oval on toeline engraved "N.F.". Matching splinter Deeley ejector forend with horn tip has Deeley release. Rifle is fitted with an old leather sling with area of rubber backing. A Swarovski Habicht 4X scope with duplex 3 post retical is in custom soldered on mounts to fit original bases. MEASUREMENTS: WEIGHT: 9 lb. 10 oz. with scope. CONDITION: very fine. Barrels retaining over 90% of what appears to be original blue with some scattered marks and light frosting. Action retains 70-80% original case hardening color. Floorplate and top lever retain nearly all their original bright blue. Trigger guard retains about half of its blue. Stocks retain most of their original oil finish with a goodly number of marks and scratches. Pad, possibly original, is flattened. Checkering is lightly worn. Bores are fine, shiny with strong rifling that shows some light wear at throat. Action is tight. Ejectors are in time. Scope is very fine with scratches; optically clear.
