Cal. .243 Win. S# 548626. Bbl. 22 1/2". Safari Grade bolt-action rifle mfg. by SAKO and imported/retailed by Browning Arms Company. Left side of bbl. is marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY", with the S#, followed by "CALIBER .243 ONLY/ MADE IN FINLAND" marked on the right. Left side of bbl., receiver, and right side of bolt exhibit a Finnish flaming ordnance bomb proof. Trigger guard and hinged floorplate exhibit light foliate engraving. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for the bolt assembly, which is polished in-the-white. Checkered wood Monte Carlo pistol grip buttstock. Receiver is mounted with a Leupold VARI-X III 3.5x10 scope. Bbl. is drilled and tapped. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, with wear and thinning present around the last 4" of the bbl. and the muzzle. Bolt assembly exhibits some scattered spots of age-related discoloration. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few spots of what appears to be either light surface oxidation and/or hardened grease, while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Stock exhibits a few marks and impressions from handling and storage, with sub-surface cracking to the varnish present overall. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic.
