ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30 Gov't '06 (30-06). S# 2923. Bbl. 24" tapered rnd. Pinned blade front sight with 2-folding leaf rear sight and Lyman receiver sight. Front receiver ring is drilled for scope attachment. Bolt features long extractor and wing type safety and is marked with matching S#. Schnabel tipped walnut stock with standard checkering and grooved steel buttplate. Stock has eyes for the Winchester sling with 1 sling hook remaining. Mfg. in 1925, first year of production. CONDITION: bbl. and receiver retain over 70% dull lightly faded blue. Bolt body retains 50% worn added blued finish. Bottom metal and buttplate retain 80% brightly polished reblued finish. Sanded and refinished stock with worn checkering showing scratches, marks, and small dents. Bore is generally bright with sound rifling. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1825/DS).
