Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 9052. Bbl. 4 3/4" having matching number plus arsenal #4822 on bottom of lug w/ rnd. cam slot; "22" stamped in front of lug. Mfg. 1935 as indicated by square font of S#s only used that year. Type 1 sight w/ 60% filled slide area indicating originally fitted w/ matching numbered stock. "A" inspector mark of Nicholas Woit (used 1911-1940) plus standard circled "H" on all parts (1931-1940) & Crown "PH" (1935-1940) on left side of frame. Left front of trigger guard has "MAE" state arsenal acceptance mark. Left grip border checkered French walnut w/out painted back; replacement right grip of similar appearance but black Bakelite w/ "2" in recess on back (occupation production). Other correct features include slotting for stock, mag. safety plus matching numbers for frame, slide & bbl. MAGS: very good 13 rd. w/ split tail base & aluminum follower. Base of spine w/ extremely faint circled "H", boxed "A" & appearance of "7" plus tilted "8". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good brown flap holster marked on inner flap w/ "clg 44" indicating Ernst Melzig (Germany). CONDITION: very good appearance w/ original finish having typical holster induced high point thinning, pinprick oxidation & spot of peppery oxidation on left side of slide near muzzle. Both grips very good. Mag. latch screw appears replacement. Good to very good bore w/ distinct rifling & very light even frosting. (23-375/NW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
