Cal. .22 L. (S, L or LR). S# 144671. Bbl. 22" with dovetailed bead front sight and dovetailed elevator adjustable rear sight; receiver grooved for scope mounting. Mfg. 1972 (1922-1974) by FN for Browning; serial number on bottom of barrel forward of forend plus it is Leige proofed. Although marked ".22 L", it is actually intended for short, long or long rifle ammo. Light colored, uncheckered European walnut stock with smooth metal buttplate and round knob pistol grip. Takedown feature, inside triggerguard action release and push button safety at rear of triggerguard. CONDITION: very light marks around grooves on receiver (mostly at front) plus very light handling marks on bottom of receiver forward of triggerguard. Buttstock has some light handling marks that are mostly confined to the toe line. Buttplate has a faint bit of oxidation and handling marks. Magazine tube has slight evidence of function wear. Missing right forend retaining screw. Overall very good plus condition with a near excellent bore. (26-176/NW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
