1) Good scarce mahogany Civil War era 4th model Colt model 1851 Navy casing, green baize lining, compartmented for revolver, flask, mold, etc. Very good overall, missing lock escutcheon. This is a tough original case to find, where earlier cases for small trigger guard 3rd models are much more available. 2) Scarce oak Colt dragoon casing, red baize lining, compartmented for 7.5" revolver, flask and other accoutrements, good interior with wear, and soiling. Exterior refinished with the newer inset shield shaped escutcheon. 3) Unknown compartmented wood casing, measures about 14" x 6" internally, good to very good overall. 4) Rare mahogany veneered French fitted casing for pair of Smith and Wesson #2 old army revolvers, Civil War era, fair overall, heavily stained from oxidized lead & cartridges, warping to edges of case and loose back slat. Wood could be restored, interior has a good look, missing inset escutcheon in lid. PROVENANCE: Martin Lane Historic & Western Americana Lifetime Collection. (02-21444/JS). $1,500-3,000.
