Energetic poses of Native American warriors performing ceremonial dances. Sculpted by R. J. Murphy & presented by the Franklin Mint. Figures are mounted on marble disks atop 5 3/4" diameter bases. Bottom of bases are covered w/ felt & have Franklin Mint labels having titles & artist's signatures. 1) SPIRIT OF THE GRIZZLEY BEAR. Warrior is wearing a breech cloth w/ fancy red & gold headdress having eagle feathers flowing down his back & over his left shoulder. Around his neck is a bear claw necklace & a lg. gold coin. His left hand is down by his side holding his war axe while his right hand is stretched above his head holding an eagle feather adorned spear. Overall height: 16 1/4". WEIGHT: 3 lbs., 14.2 oz. 2) SPIRIT OF THE RAVEN. Dancer is wearing fringed leggings & breech cloth. Leggings are adorned w/ bars along the front & ceremonial markings along the sides. His left shoulder is draped w/ a red sash tipped w/ eagles feathers that flow behind his back. His lg. headdress is topped w/ eagle feathers & horse hair. His outstretched left hand is holding his bow & arrow, while his right hand is stretched in front of him holding a writhing diamondback rattlesnake. Overall height: 10 3/4". WEIGHT: 4 lbs., 14.1 oz. CONDITION: both sculptures are in very good condition & completely intact. (02-14739/DS). $1,000-2,000.
