RIFLE. Cal. 7mm Rem Mag. SN. 180. Bbl. 22 1/2" octagon to round, tapered medium weight of Bohler Special steel w/ matted solid rib. Builder name Franz Sodia, Ferlach is located on bottom bbl. flat. Signature of master engraver & gunsmith Roy Vail is found on the rib 2" forward of the scope. Military Mauser 98 action with custom bottom metal & commercial single stage trigger. Receiver has relief carved oak leaf hand engraving. Trigger guard & push button release floorplate have complementing oak leaf engraving surrounding viginette of gold inlayed bull elk. Trigger guard bow & tang along with breech end of bbl. have gold wire borders. Bolt body & extractor are jeweled. Bolt handle is oak leaf engraved having a half checkered over size ball knob. Low swing safety. Leupold Vari-X-III 3.5-10x40 AO gloss finished scope on Redfield 1 piece base. Scope base & rings have oak leaf engraving w/ gold wire borders. Monte Carlo stock with shadow line cheek piece stock of European walnut has vivid dark streaking. Features include rose wood forend tip, engraved gold bordered steel grip cap, Niedner checkered steel buttplate & sling swivel bases. Forend & wrist have borderless fleur-de-lis hand checkering. Weight w/ scope 8 lbs 9 ozs. CONDITION: fine, retaining over 98% wood & metal finish. Bright near excellent bore. Scope has clear optics. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong Collection of Jim Williams.
