ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 11mm Gras. S# 81218. Bbl. 20". Blade front sight. ladder rear sight graduated to 1200m. Matching numbers on receiver & bayonet lug. Other visible parts unnumbered or mismatched. Bolt & rear of bbl. have varied Belgian proofs. Right rear of bbl. marked "BELGIUM". Left side of receiver has St. Etienne markings with "Mle 1866-74" & "M80". Arsenal rework type blue finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels & brass furniture. Ramrod present. CONDITION: sanded stock set shows a couple cracks in ramrod channel, some handling marks & dings. Brass parts appear to have an old cleaning with scattered oxidation, dings & age related wear. Blued parts retain 60% arsenal rework type blue with overall fading, scattered edge wear, handling marks & light oxidation. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good bore with strong rifling but some light frosting. (01-28959/MJC). ANTIQUE. $250-350.
