"GREY GHOST" SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER & TWO SEALED BOXES OF WORLD WAR II AMMUNITION. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 1073k. Bbl. 4 7/8". P.38 "Grey Ghost" semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser in 1945 while under French occupation. The left side of the slide is marked "P.38", followed by Mauser's late mfg. code and the 2-digit year of mfg. "svw/ 45", and the S#, with a French star and "95" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a phosphate finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved metal phosphate finished grips. Dovetailed blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. MAGS: 2 phosphate finished 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster and 2 unopened 1944 dated 16-rd. boxes of 9x19mm Parabellum m.E. ammunition. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original phosphate finish, exhibiting some light wear, as well as some superficial marks from handling and storage. Grips show areas of wear and thinning that show through to silvering. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Black leather holster remains malleable, exhibiting some mild wear overall. Ammunition boxes show some tearing on their label seal, but are otherwise very good. (25-1019/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,100.
