Cal. 8mm Lebel. S# K106. Bbl. 31 1/2". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2400m. Bolt parts are mismatched, but other visible numbers are matching, with some appearing arsenal renumbered. Left side of receiver has St. Etienne markings. Bbl. marked "MA S 1889". No visible balle "N" markings. Arsenal-rework blued finish. Hardwood stock set with added cut on left side of butt likely for a mud cover and bottom mounted sling swivels. CONDITION: stock shows scattered dings, scratches, dents, and handling marks. Metal retains 60% arsenal rework blue with scattered blued-over pitting, edge wear, oxidation, and fading. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Bore shows scattered frosting and pitting but strong rifling. (01-25994/MJC). ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
