SMG. Cal. 45 ACP. S# AO134390. Bbl.10.5". Auto Ordnance Corporation manufactured Model 1928A1 Thompson with smooth replacement barrel. Barrel terminated with Auto-Ordnance marked Cutts compensator with bullet logo on left side and blade front sight. Lyman marked fixed peep sight. This is an "A.O." (Auto Ordnance) prefix serial number with matching lower assembly serial number. Vertical foregrip. Left side of receiver left factory originally marked "U.S. MODEL 1928A1" above serial number. The "U.S." has been removed, and a "C" over-stamped on the "1" so that it is now marked "MODEL 1928AC", which is typical for Thompsons that were sold by the U.S. Government to police agencies after World War II. Other left hand receiver markings include, "THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN / CALIBRE .45 AUTOMATIC CARTRIDGE". Right hand receiver markings include "AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION" with Bridgeport address. Barrel, in front of receiver marked with an "S" on the left side, and with an "O" on the right side next to the index mark. NFA registry indicates Auto Ordnance as the manufacturer. MAGS: 1 Seymour blued 30 rd. CONDITION: matte blued finish is complete, w/ a darker finish on upper receiver and more of a gray tone on lower receiver. Some thinning on high spots and in areas of mechanical intervention. Bluing on barrel uneven. Buttplate has a smooth lustrous finish, thinning on top and at bottom. Wood furniture is matching dark brown with typical impressions, heaviest on right side of pistol grip and left side of stock. Bright bore with strong rifling. Select fire mechanism has been disabled to fire only fully automatic due to Connecticut state restrictions. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand.
