JERSEY ARMS AVENGER COMMANDO SMG. Cal. 45. S# 820101410 Gun / S# S1367. Bbl. 6". There are very few firearms that conjure up the imagination of the general public more than the mere mention of the MAC 10. The Ingram Model 10 was originally designed in 1964. It would become the 1st of many sm. simplistic SMGs to contrast the expensive & labor intensive earlier variants such as the Thompson & Reising M50. Ingram’s 2 basic guidelines while designing the Model 10 "simple & cheap" while remaining effective & reliable. Made famous mostly by Hollywood, the M10 had appearances on the silver screen & on television eventually earning the infamous title of "The Gun That Made The 80’s Roar" starting w/ John Wayne utilizing a suppressed 9mm M10 in the 1974 movie "McQ". A favorite example used by the organized anti-gun movement, the Mac 10 was eventually, incorrectly & inaccurately synonymous w/ every crime committed for a long period of time. Here we have an interesting variant by Hatton Industries, manufactured in 1982 exclusively for Jersey Arms Works. There were a total of only 520 units made, so it is one of the rarest of the transferable M10 family. They bear the Cobray logo on both the upper & lower receivers & were all chambered in 45 ACP. Protected post fixed front sight & rear peep sight that is integral w/ the receiver. Select fire, open bolt, blowback action. Selector on left side of receiver. Safety inside trigger guard. Black phosphate finished & designed to utilize the original M3 "Grease Gun" magazines. Receiver markings include the following; Right side - "MANUFACTURED EXCLUSIVELY FOR / JERSEY ARMS WORKS, INC. / WESTMONT, N.J. / UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" along w/ the Cobray logo. On the left side marked - "MODEL - AVENGER / SERIES - COMMANDO / CALIBER - 45 ACP" & serial number. Shoulder stock slides out to the rear when employed, w/ a folding metal wire extension which folds up & over the receiver when not in use to keep the slim, concealable profile. MAGS: 7 steel 30 rd. metal grease gun style mags, 2 bearing the Cobray logo. Black nylon hanger strap in front of receiver. Also included is an AWC Systems Technology M10A3, 2 chamber sound suppressor measuring 14" in length w/ an outside diameter of 1.73" & 2.12". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Black plastic, foam lined case. CONDITION: exposed metal surfaces on M10 enjoy a parkerized finish w/ complete coverage. Some light thinning on grip & high spots w/ normal recreational range wear. Suppressor coverage complete w/ little outward sign of use. Collapsible wire stock locks tightly in both open & closed positions as does the folding shoulder section. Bore is bright w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG & SUPPRESSOR, EACH REQUIRING BATF TRANSFERS BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1760 / 03-1761/JZ). MODERN. CLASS III. $7,000-10,000.
