WILSON REGISTERED TUBE. Cal. 9mm. S# MP-126. Bbl. 9 9/10”. Hooded fixed blade front sight, rear sight is windage drift adj. 2 Piece folding leaf. Of all the German WWII era SMGs, the MP40 may be the most iconic of them all. Its slow cyclic rate combined w/ decent sights & pleasant ergonomics make it as fun to operate as it is interesting to look at. It utilizes a very simplistic, yet incredibly smooth open bolt firing mechanism. The recoil system is typical of German over engineering consisting of a 3 piece telescoping rod w/ a captured spring that doubles as the connection point for the firing pin which slides inside of the bolt. The safety mechanism is an extremely simple design which shares commonalties w/ other WWII era SMGs. It consists of a rearward notch that interfaces w/ the cocking handle holding the bolt to the rear. Manufactured in 1941 by Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG as designated by receiver code “bnz.41”. This MP40 utilizes a 3d generation mag. housing which includes the ribs for strength & square notch facing the shooter. Waffenamts appear on multiple parts as well as makers codes. Under folding stock, dark brown Bakelite grips & lower receiver cover. Aluminum resting bar. Original in appearance, extruded w/ ribs, receiver tube has Wilson Arms stamp under trigger group. Period correct thin brown leather sling. MAGAZINES: 1 steel 32 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: FBP fixed firing pin bolt & recoil assembly. CONDITION: Original finish has browned & thinned into natural hues as typical w/ examples from this period. Most numbered parts not matching. Bakelite trigger group in nice condition w/ no visible blemishing aside from a few light scratches & impressions. Aluminum resting bar heavily oxidized. Good bore w/ strong rifling. Stock locks correctly in both folded & extended positions. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT FIREARM REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1641/JZ). CLASS III. $18,000-27,000.
