CONVERSION & TRIJICON REFLEX SIGHT. Cal. 22LR. S# 86-0013013. Bbl. 9.75". The younger brother of the infamous MAC-10 may not have moved out of it's shadow as far as Hollywood movies & urban legend is concerned, but as far as becoming a commonly owned civilian SMG, it may actually have taken the top spot. From its introduction to the legislative imposed cutoff of 05-19-1986 the M11 was a popular & affordable entry level SMG. It's low price was only rivaled by its reliability & these little bullet hoses continue to perform just as well several decades later. This particular example mfg. by SWD of Atlanta GA was manufactured in 1986. The company name was an acronym for Silvia Williams Daniel, the prior spouse of Wayne Daniel who owned the manufacturing rights to the Ingram Model 11 as well as the popular Cobray trademark. This particular example has been heavily modernized and upgraded w/ a LAGE Mfg. Max-11/22 kit consisting of a lengthened upper receiver that provides a 10" picatinny rail for mounting options currently sporting a Trijicon Reflex sight. Instead of the original post & peep system the sights have been upgraded to an elevation adjustable protected post front sight & a windage adjustable, dual aperture rear peep sight. A1 style flash hider for aesthetics. Vertical front foregrip. Left side folding shoulder stock. Matte gray parkerized finish on exposed metal surfaces. Left side, non-reciprocating charging handle on upper receiver. Left side selector switch. Right side safety parallel to trigger guard. The familiar Cobray snake logo appears on the right rear of the lower receiver. Open bolt, blow-back operated, select fire action. Factory engravings have been highlighted in white for contrast & are easy to read. MAGS: 8 Black Dog 40rd. .22lr. & 2 steel 30 rd 9mm. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: M11/9 Lage bolt, original 9mm barrel & strap, original M11/9 fire control parts, Mac-Jack. CONDITION: Parkerized finish on exterior metal surfaces enjoys complete coverage w/ only a few light drag lines & thinning on some high spots. Bright bore w/ visible rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Brian Linde. (03-1827/JZ). MODERN CLASS III. $6,000-9,000
