Cal. 9mm. S# L174. Bbl. 8.5". The Swedish K submachine gun, often referred to as the Carl Gustaf, was the standard SMG of the Swedish Armed Forces from the mid 1940s to the mid 1960s. It is an effective, blowback operated, open bolt SMG that was so well liked that it spurred the creation of the Smith & Wesson Model 76 SMG years later. This particular was built on a Wilson Arms tube, designated model L2A3. Matte black parkerized finish on all metal parts. Elevation adjustable protected post front sight, 3 position notch rear sight. Right side folding skeletal stock with tubular cheek piece on top. 2-pc wooden pistol grips. Unique removable magazine well; when installed allows use of standard Swedish K M45 36-rnd magazines. When mag-well is removed it allows use of Suomi 50-rnd magazine and possibly 71-rnd drum. Left side sling swivels. MAGS: 1 steel 30 rd. CONDITION: All aspects indicate very little use, if any. Finish complete & consistent w/ only a few very light drag lines typical of vertical rack storage. Bright bore w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Ivan Lee Shapiro. (03-1772/JZ). CURIO CLASS III. $8,000-12,000.
