1) HAT. A truly fine condition, circa 1920s GAR dress hat. Hat is black w/ a metal “GAR” in wreath attached. Hat has a black grosgrain band w/ a gold bullion hat cord. Interior is marked, “MALLORY RENOWNED SINCE 1823 XV”. Sweatband is marked, “Frederick’s Men’s Wear Stores 1435 H St. N.W. 701 H St. N.E. Washington DC”. Hat is housed in its original 8 sided box.
2) PATCHES. 1 Original issue & 2 later issue patches for “T.W. HYDE CAMP 46 BATH, ME. SONS OF VETERANS”. Included w/ the patches is an original blueprint drawing of the patch design by the Sons of Veterans. CONDITION: hat shows virtually no wear. Patches show light wear. (02-15955/BF). $200-300.
