SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 32-40. S# 29398. Bbl. 30 1/4" octagon 2 round measuring 1 1/16" across the muzzle. Muzzle has provisions for false muzzle bullet starter. Top flat of bbl. is marked "GEO. C. SCHOYEN / DENVER, COLO". George C. Schoyen was born in Norway in 1845. He immigrated first to Chicago, then to Denver where he worked in Carlos Gove's Denver Armory. He purchased the armory in 1884 & his work gained a reputation w/ Schutzenfest competitors. Wind-Gauge globe front sight w/ Marlin's improved Vernier mid range tang sight. Custom nickel finished rebated action features a full loop lever & slenderized double set triggers. Left side of action has Marlin Fire Arms Co. address & patent markings. Custom schnable tipped checkered walnut forearm fitted w/ a palm rest. Custom S curved pistol grip cheekpiece checkered walnut stock fitted w/ nickel finished curved hook Schutzen buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: false muzzle & bullet starter. WEIGHT: 14 lbs, 11 ozs. CONDITION: bbl. retains 90% blue. Top flat has series of 9 extra holes for scope mount attachment. Action retains 98% custom nickel finish. Stocks have good finish & checkering showing a few small marks. Properly functioning set triggers.
